CRITICAL INCIDENT CASUALTY MANAGEMENT™

This MCOLES approved training program (for Michigan based courses) is based on the military’s combat proven Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and the civilian translation of TCCC - Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) and is a must for all Law Enforcement officers and command staff.  The program provides training to enhance the likelihood of both survival and domination in the occurrence of violent encounters.  Participants will be provided methods on how to react if you, your partner or a teammate is injured.  The importance of developing a warrior mindset will be stressed and after completion of this program participants will better understand the risks of their profession and develop critical skills to help mitigate those risks.

Participants will be instructed to recognize and treat the most common causes of potentially preventable death in the civilian tactical environment.  There will be an emphasis on self-aid and buddy-aid so officers can manage injuries to themselves and their partners.  The program prioritizes lifesaving medical care with tactical considerations to encourage officers to remain engaged, end the threat, and minimize further injury and loss of life. Emphasis will be placed on utilizing tourniquets, hemostatic agents, and other specialized equipment designed for the harsh environment’s officers encounter every day.

In addition to critical medical skills, students will be instructed in armed suspect recognition and to how to more effectively identify cues to violent behaviors/imminent attacks.  Throughout the course there will be an emphasis on ambush awareness, prevention and countermeasures.

This program is fully customizable.  Our basic Law Enforcement & First Responder course are four hours in length and can be customized with integration of firearms and other skills and scenario based training.  We can create a customized Train The Trainer program for your agency to make effective in house training a reality.
