About the event
CRITICAL INCIDENT CASUALTY MANAGEMENT ™
This training program is based on the US military combat proven Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and the civilian translation- Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC). Students learn to enhance the likelihood of survival in the event of traumatic injury. Teaching points and methodology were developed with the warrior mindset. Students will better understand the risks of critical injury in their profession and develop the skills needed to address the most traumatic of injuries.
With an emphasis on self-aid/buddy aid, students will learn to recognize and treat the most common causes of preventable death in the civilian pre-hospital environment. The program prioritizes lifesaving medical interventions in conjunction with tactical considerations which prepare students to end impending threats prior to effecting combat proven lifesaving procedures. Students will be taught the importance of tourniquets, hemostatic agents, and other specialized equipment suited for the environments first responder’s encounter.
In addition to the critical medical skills, students will learn armed suspect recognition techniques and how to identify precursors to violent attacks. Throughout the course there will be an emphasis on ambush awareness, prevention and reaction.
