This intense, 2 day (16-hour program) is designed to enhance the students proficiency with handgun and medical skills during high stress situations. We will focus on increasing the safe and efficient handling and employment of handguns to increase speed, accuracy and proficiency. Students will progress from working targets in a static environment to deployment from multiple positions to include movement, teamwork and basic injured shooter techniques.
The basics of TECC/TCCC will be instructed in the CICM™ portion of the program where students will learn to identify life threatening injuries and provide care utilizng specialized medical equipment found in IFAKs. There will be heavy emphasis on assessment and stopping bleeding with tourniquets, wound packing and the utilization of hemostatic agents. We will utilize realistic task trainers and life size trainers during this program!
The final portion of this training will integrate firearms handling skills, marksmanship, movement, teamwork, fitness, situational awareness and more to provide the ultimate training opportunity. All students need to be proificient with the safe handling of firearms and comfortable drawing from a holster to attend this course. An OWB holster is required for a majority of this training. Students looking to work from concealed will be able to on the first half of day one.
